Conditions of Entry

 

Sale Date:                             Wednesday 8th February 2012

 

Closing Date for Entries:  Wednesday 1st February 2012

 

Entry Fees:                            A&P Members - $15.00 per pen GST inclusive

                                                Non Members - $20.00 per pen GST inclusive

                                               

No more than three rams per pen

                                                Entry Fees must be included with your entry form

 

Entry Forms:                         Separate entry forms must be completed for each breed entered.

Upset Price:                           Stud Rams                  $500.00

                                                Flock Rams                 $400.00

 

The upset or starting price shall be as above or the vendor’s reserve, whichever is the higher. The A & P Association advice the Flock Ram Upset Price for this year’s fair will be $400.00. No sales of rams shall be negotiated on the grounds for a figure less than $400.00.  The Auctioneer’s Committee request that Vendors present only those rams that will sustain the upset price.  The A & P Committee reserves the right to administer breed inspections if required.

 

Penning Times:                      Rams must be penned by10.00 a.m.   The Auctioneers will have staff on duty from 8.30 a.m. and your early arrival will avoid last minute congestion.

 

Starting Times:                      At the conclusion of Ashburton Ewe Fair approximately early afternoon

“A” Sale          Meat Breeds                followed by

                                                “B” Sale          Wool Breeds              

 

Brucellosis Testing:               Each Ram entered in the Fair must be from a flock that is currently accredited as Brucellosis Free.  Copies of the Brucellosis Certificates must accompany the entry form.

 

Production Figures:              The displaying of relevant information on the pens is encouraged.  The Ashburton Stud and Flock Ram Fair offer’s an established market for all breeds of Sheep.
