Student Classes

 

Entry fee 50 cents

 

Prize Money: First $2, Second $1, Third 50c.

 

Entries may be staged:-

Thursday 28th October 5.00 - 6.30 p.m. or

Friday 29th October 8.00 - 9.30 a.m.

 

Student Competition located within the MAINLAND GRAIN Pavilion.

STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHY CLASSES - please see adult photography section

 

Entries in all STUDENT CLASSES must be the bona fide work of the exhibitor and not necessarily made at school.

 

NOTE:  Age and School class specifications may vary from Section to Section.  Please ensure your entry is placed in the correct grouping.

 

Age as at close of entries

 

A rosette will be awarded to the premier exhibit in each Student section.

 

The A.T.BEGG TROPHY will be awarded to the winner of most points in STUDENT CLASSES.  To be held by the winner for one year 2009 winner Ben Wakelin. 

 

Student Cooking

 

Entry Fee 50 cents

 

NO EXHIBITS ACCEPTED ON PLATES, except Microwave Self-Saucing Chocolate Pudding.

 

THE CONNOLLY CUP will be awarded to the winner of most points in Students Cookery. To be held by the winner for one year 2009 winner - Rebecca Johnstone

 

PAPER PLUS ASHBURTON donate a $10 voucher to winner of most points in Student Cookery Classes.

 

WASTEBUSTERS TRUST CANTERBURY donates $5 Special Prize for "Waste wise lunch pack" selected from all age groups.

Class 980  STUDENT COLLECTION

A collection of three different types of handwork (e.g. art, cookery, beadwork, sewing, lego/kitset, flowers, grain & seed, junk to funk) to be displayed in an area 50cm wide by 75cm depth.  To be judged on presentation

Entry Fee 50 cents

 

Work must not be named.  Identification will be provided when entry submitted for judging on Friday.
