Entry Fees: Members $5, Non-Members $6

Single entry Ram and Ewe Hogget classes having entries of six or more, prize money will be awarded as follows:
1st $30, 2nd $20, 3rd $10
Single entry Ram and Ewe Hogget classes having entries of less than six, prize money will be awarded as follows:
1st $20, 2nd $15, 3rd $10
Prize money will be awarded except on Ram and Ewe Hogget classes as follows:-
1 or 2 Entries - First prize money
3 or 4 entries - First and second prize money
5 or more entries - First second and third prize money will be paid.
Prize money will be paid out to winners in Sheep Section after the Show.
All Meat Breeds / Terminal Sire shorn classes are to be machine shorn fairly and evenly on or after 1st September 2010
All sheep must be exhibited in full wool unless shown in shorn classes. In sheep section the sheep are bred by Exhibitors unless stated otherwise. All sheep must be on the ground and penned by 9am ready for judging. The giving of a prize to a sheep shall imply that the Judges are satisfied that such sheep is fairly shorn and fairly trimmed.
All sheep entered in the Purebred classes must be from registered flocks and eligible for entry in the recognised flock books. Any ewe which is barren shall not be eligible to take a prize except in the fat classes.
Current Brucellosis Certificate must accompany entries or they will not be accepted.
In the Natural Condition Class Exhibitors will be required to sign the following declaration on the entry form.
I HEREBY DECLARE that the entries made by me in the Natural Condition Sheep Classes comply with the following conditions:
(1) That the sheep were shorn evenly and close to the skin.
(2) That the wool has not been trimmed in any way since, except crutching or dagging.
(3) That there has not been any colouring, oiling or locking, except dipping.
(4) That the sheep have not been rugged or covered at any time, nor housed more than 24 hours before judging.

THE ENGLISH LEICESTER BREED COMMITTEE of the New Zealand Sheepbreeders' Association offers a cash prize of $20 for the best shorn ram hogget under 18 months in the English Leicester section.
